Discipleship

A Core Value here at State Road is “Transformation.” Dispensing information about God has it’s place in the church, to be sure. However, the priority is to help each other experience transformation. Specifically, transformation into the character of Jesus Christ. Mere knowledge of Jesus and His Kingdom is insufficient. God’s goal is that we “be conformed to the likeness of His Son” (Romans 8:29).  How’s that going for you?

Personal Development Plan

Some ideas for growth experiences –

• Start or join a small group specifically designed for spiritual growth
• Begin a daily Bible reading/study plan
• Begin an accountability relationship with another (of the same gender)
• Consider volunteer work or ministry project this year. See a member of the missions committee for more information.
• Discuss setting growth and ministry goals with a trusted friend or church leader
