In our Bibles we find a number of what I call “Christ-imitator” verses. These are those verses that point us toward some aspect of how Christ related to us and then exhorts us to follow His example in how we relate to others in the church and the world. (Some examples are John 13:34-35, John 17:20-23, Ephesians 5:23 and 25, Romans 15:7, Colossians 3:13, John 20:21, Philippians 2:5, John 13:15 and 1 Peter 2:21) In this message, as we worship God through the study of His Word, we’ll be beginning a new sermon series that will take us through some of these amazingly challenging passages. Hopefully, along the way we will fall even more in love with our Lord and become more like the God who saved us.
